The 2012 Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance was a captivating event on and off the course. From raising funds for children's health care to watching Tournament winner Tiger Woods' astounding chip shot on the 16th hole, Nationwide Insurance is proud to support an event that shines the international spotlight on central Ohio.

Engaging philanthropic programs that support Nationwide Children's Hospital continues to be an important element of the young, thriving relationship Nationwide Insurance shares with the Memorial. The Tournament and Nationwide have partnered on initiatives such as the Legends Luncheon and the annual benefit concert. These, along with several other Memorial Tournament charitable programs, have resulted in nearly $2 million in contributions since 2011 to Nationwide Children's from the Tournament through an alliance with the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation. The money generated funds for several areas of need at Nationwide Children's Hospital that benefit the lives of countless children, regardless of the family's ability to pay.

In 2013 Nationwide Insurance will continue to partner with the Memorial to enhance the fan experience, increase contributions for children's health care and share the inspirational stories of the brave young patients at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Key highlights for the 38th playing of the Memorial include the Digital House returning to its location just off of the Practice Facility.  Patrons can obtain information, engage with fans everywhere using social media platforms, charge mobile devices, play games, see golf celebrity appearances and more. As in 2012, free Sirius XM with FM-band radios will be available for use at and away from the course.  New this year at the Digital House will be a limited supply of oversized, autograph friendly golf balls for children 12 and under. 

Nationwide Insurance also offers free “On Your Side” golf cart rides for those in need of transportation assistance from their parking locations to shuttle stops in satellite parking areas. These efforts are Nationwide's way of extending the same On Your Side experience to golf fans that we extend to our members.

The Memorial Tournament delivers a one-of-kind experience filled with tradition and excellence. Nationwide has invested in its hometown since 1926, and is proud to continue this tradition today.
