Dublin, Ohio – Officials of the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide announced today that the Tournament has accepted the commitment of 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott to compete in the 40th edition of the Memorial June 1–7 at Jack Nicklaus’ world-renowned Muirfield Village Golf Club.

The Tournament has also accepted the commitments of four past Memorials winners: Major champions Ernie Els and Jim Furyk, seven-time PGA TOUR winner Matt Kuchar and Steve Stricker, who owns 11 TOUR titles. Also joining the field for the Memorial is 2013 PGA Championship winner Jason Dufner and the 15th-ranked player in the world, Patrick Reed.

Scott has been a model of consistency throughout his professional career, recording at least one PGA TOUR victory in all but three years (2005, 2009 and 2012) since joining the TOUR in 2003. Along the way, the 34-year-old Australian native has collected 11 TOUR wins and career earnings totaling $37,933,137. Scott has finished inside the top-20 twice in eight starts this season, including one top-10 finish to currently rank 100th in FedExCup points and No. 11 in the world. Scott will be making his 10th start at the Memorial, looking to add to his career Tournament earnings of $934,361.33. He has recorded three top-10 finishes at Muirfield Village Golf Club and has a Tournament scoring average of 71.56. He matched his best Tournament finish last year when he tied for fourth place, a feat he first accomplished in the 2006 Memorial.

The 40th playing of the Memorial Tournament will mark the 22nd appearance for 2004 winner Els. He has a 71.30 scoring average and career earnings at the Memorial totaling $2,066,842, placing him sixth in Tournament history. He has posted six top-10 finishes at Muirfield Village Golf Club and his T-19 finish in 2014 marked his 19th career made cut at the Memorial. The 45 year-old South African and four-time major championship winner has recorded two top-25 finishes this season and is currently ranked No. 164 in the FedExCup points standings and No. 94 in the world. Els has been a member of eight International Presidents Cup teams and has career PGA TOUR earnings of $48,043,250 to go with 19 TOUR victories.

Memorial Tournament veteran and 2002 winner Furyk will be teeing it up for the 20th time at the 2015 installment of the prestigious invitational Tournament hosted by golf legend Jack Nicklaus. Furyk has career earnings at the Memorial totaling $2,534,138.24, and a 71.00 scoring average, placing him third and fourth in those categories, respectively, in Tournament history. His T-19 finish in 2014 marked his 18th made cut at Muirfield Village Golf Club, with six top-10 finishes to his credit. A resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Furyk, 45, is currently ranked No. 5 in the world and No. 21 in FedExCup points on strength of three top-10 finishes this season, including his 17th career PGA TOUR title at the RBC Heritage. Furyk, the 2003 U.S. Open champion, has been a member of seven U.S. Presidents Cup teams and nine U.S. Ryder Cup teams. His career PGA TOUR earnings total $63,976,294.

Kuchar, 36, is coming off a successful 2013-14 season on the PGA TOUR with 11 top-10 finishes and his seventh career TOUR title at the RBC Heritage. He has continued to play well this season, recording three top-10 finishes over 14 events, including a runner-up finish at the Humana Challenge and a T-3 at the Sony Open in Hawaii.  Kuchar is ranked No. 18 in the world and stands No. 29 in FedExCup points. The TOUR’s leading money winner in 2010, Kuchar has career earnings of $32,536,377. The Sea Island, Ga., resident has also been a member of three U.S. Ryder Cup teams (2010, 2012 and 2014) and two U.S. Presidents Cup teams (2011 and 2013). The 2013 Memorial winner will be returning to Muirfield Village Golf Club for a 10th time. He has posted five top-10 efforts during that period, finishing T-15, first and T-2 (2011) in his last three starts.

Winner of the 2011 Memorial Tournament, Stricker has been one of the most consistent players on TOUR over the past six-plus years. Over that period he has only missed two cuts, one in 2012 at THE PLAYERS Championship and the other this year at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. The Wisconsin native is currently ranked No. 88 in the world and No. 173 FedExCup points in only four events played this season as he recovers from back surgery in December. Stricker will make his 15th Memorial start at this year’s Tournament. His T-6 finish last year places him 10th all time on the Memorial’s money list with $1,593,786.43. His scoring average at Muirfield Village is 71.49.

An Ohio native, Dufner made his mark on the PGA TOUR in 2012 by recording his first TOUR victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, followed by a second win just two starts later at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. He finished 2012 a career-best second in regular season FedExCup points and career-high earnings of $4,869,304. Dufner capped off the year with his first Ryder Cup appearance. He added his third PGA TOUR victory and his first major championship in 2013 at The PGA Championship, and he competed for the U.S. the same year at Muirfield Village Golf Club in The Presidents Cup. Dufner has posted three top-25 finishes in the 2014-2015 season and has career PGA TOUR earnings of $17,714,482. He currently sits at No. 69 in the world and No. 105 in FedExCup points. Dufner’s Memorial Tournament records include a scoring average of 72.63 and earnings of $65,237.78 after making his first cut last year in his third appearance and finishing in a tie for 19th place.

Reed, 24,will be making his Memorial Tournament debut. He burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2013, and he recorded his first-career top-10 finish in just his 19th start. Before the season concluded, Reed added four more top-10s to his resume, including his first PGA TOUR victory at the 2013 Wyndham Championship. Reed remained hot in 2014, posting two victories and 12 top-25 finishes over 28 events, and he has continued his inspired play this season, recording three top-10 finishes in 15 starts, including his fourth career PGA TOUR victory at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. He has now won at least one title in each of the past three seasons. His solid play has launched him into fifth in the FedExCup standings and to his current spot at No. 15 in the Official World Golf Ranking. The Texas native has earned $8,837,416 in his brief career.
