FINAL FIELD ANNOUNCED FOR THE 43rd PLAYING OF THE MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT PRESENTED BY NATIONWIDE

Golden Bear Club and Pavilion Badges reach sellout status

Dublin, Ohio – At 6:25 p.m. EDT Tournament officials announced the final playing field for the 2018 Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide. The contingent of 120 players is led by World No. 1 Justin Thomas, 2017 Memorial Tournament winner Jason Dufner and five-time winner and 14-time major champion Tiger Woods.

The 2018 Memorial Tournament begins Monday, May 28 at Muirfield Village Golf Club. This is the 43^rd edition of the prestigious invitational Jack Nicklaus started in 1976.

In addition to Thomas, the list of top-10 players in the world rankings includes No. 2 Dustin Johnson, No. 3 Jordan Spieth, No. 5 Justin Rose (2010 Memorial winner), No. 6 Rickie Fowler, No. 7 Jason Day, No. 8 Rory McIlroy and No. 9 Hideki Matsuyama (2014 Memorial winner). The 2018 field also boasts the top 5 in the FedExCup standings: Thomas, No. 2 Day, No. 3 Phil Mickelson, No. 4 Patton Kizzire and No. 5 Patrick Reed, the reigning Masters champion.

One of the strongest fields of the year has created even higher interest in this year’s Tournament, leading to a sellout of both Golden Bear Club and Pavilion tickets.

The list of past Memorial winners includes not only Dufner, Woods, Perry, Rose and Matsuyama, but also K.J. Choi, Ernie Els, Jim Furyk (who is serving as U.S. Ryder Cup captain this fall in Paris), Matt Kuchar, David Lingmerth, William McGirt, Carl Pettersson and Vijay Singh.
